I can try to see what you mean this time, when you say to me buckle up I ain't ready for this, I ain't ready for that, I ain't ready to see what this is You can try to describe the ecstasy; but it, doesn't come close to the odyssey To ruminate or to celebrate, day by day I decide Get alone or get in line, they say over our heads I’ve got other plans, I don’t need to pretend, it ain’t ending like it did Life is more than what you see, forget yesterday’s idolatry To ruminate or to celebrate; who knows what I'll decide? In this cordial atmosphere, I see beyond all aberrations The world seems clearer, no need to fear her The beauty of possibility increases your capacity for illusion

Palinopsia 04:42
Flip the eraser, put the pen to paper. Every word has weight, thoughts are more than a spark. With each new page, the story is unwritten from our lives; bound by leather and twine. When it gets old and the terror sinks in, water falls on roses bleeding red Through this new lens, the work begins; time is of the essence. Don't be moved, by transgressions; for they are not the true message. Light fills the room as the facade falls away, join your arms with your intentions aligned To remove pretense from display, allows infinite growth for all of mankind Each day’s a reminder of what’s at stake, but when a lie is just a promise you didn’t make, you’re breathing air that's better stored in the pockets of a beggar. For he is rich beyond our years, the face of humanity pales at the revelation of his tears, each drop a lesson, smearing the words written.

Hurt 03:41
The steel frame remains, apathetic and affection-less; reinforcement of false hallucinations Left by the wake of the unimpeded tide These people here and gone, but left unchanged, To this day their shadows stay The steel frame remains; reminders of a simpler time. A forced perspective to the rest As they opened their eyes, the waves break. While we surmise fear and ignorance And from the ashes, a dream realized Not to be taken for granted, but imparted evermore

Sittin’ on the edge, hands on his knees Eyes rolled back, deep in sleep Waitin’ for the end, while times are good You know it won't last, but you know that it should Ain't felt the sun, grace your veins Can't taste the wind, can't feel the rain Thunder calls; confusion sings Drop the gavel; feel no pain You missed the point, yet feel like this Lash out, the end of bliss. Had no worth, from the nest Every step another nail in the chest Come around yet yield no ground Thick skin and thicker skulls hollowed out Think clearly, don’t react blindly Use more than your eyes to see it carefully Hostility’s a lonely world, and you lack the skills to survive Come around, yet yield no ground Thick skin and thicker skulls hollowed out Hostility’s a lonely world, and you lack the skills to survive The warm embrace Will not bring you solace And will leave you Coldest It creeps slow and meek Seeps in tow In your sleep

Moon Man 02:46
Just sit there and listen, use your ears for a change But you’ve decided already that you're gonna go, but I'd like you for a minute more Wish you'd just get with it now, you know you rule your own life But my words are mere suggestions, so you can bottle up your pain But don't be afraid Perfect tunnel vision There's more out there to see But you're just there on the moon Not waitin’ just livin’ the day Got a one track mind Can only do one thing at a time We need to work together to display that it's not too late to refrain Divide your attention to your position Shed your restless skin save this moment for recollection Make haste jump right in Cry to make yourself feel somethin’ but it's no help at all You're motionless and lookin’ up, but you're much too far down the well
7.
As the years go on, the more I see Hung up people cling to me But I'm not something to lean on; I need to stand on my own two feet These lives are strangely our own Some of us always feel alone But we’ve got to try to travel the unknown I'd love to help all the broken people But I can't, they've got to help themselves When days grow dark, use your head There's better places than your bed (yeah) The first step, is always hard, when you feel like you're not in charge I can't hear you out Lower your guard They say that time heals all But only to those who’ve broke down their wall I’m here anytime, just pick up the phone and give me a call I'd love to help all the broken people But I can't, they've got to help themselves I'd love to help all the broken people But I can't, they've got to help themselves I'd love to help all the broken people But I can't, they've got to help themselves

The Diener 03:32
He's up late, cleaning what remains, steel tray filled with things to clean the stains Lock it up, shut it down, nobody left in this one horse town His reflection in the table reminds him of the cradle of his life before He thinks back to the minute, never will forget it, his story you can't ignore Had a nice life, lived upstate, had a dog and a house and a white picket gate One day there was a woman at the door, in a dark suit like his daddy once wore, “Open before it’s too late; this collection is past it’s due date, I've been cheated one too many times. This life you owe to pay for your crimes.” “Please, leave me be! You'll get what you want, but in good time. But if it’s not enough, I relinquish all my sunny days!” His life is still his own, slaves away every day, paying back his loan She took it all as interest on the call, paid collect by the diener at mausoleum hall Now his days are spent taking names as the dead shuffle through the door To those with souls, to you he does implore; “Please learn from me! You'll get what you want but in good time. Even if it’s not enough, cherish all of those sunny days!”

Transparent trails, tangent and convergent The man emerges, the opaque hills behind him He’s begun his journey, with an optimistic stride Progressin’ and displacin’ Himself in the unknown He loathes the significance of his passage, and bets his humanity on the destination He’s aware of the danger that lies ahead, but he knows that death’s not the end He approaches whisper ridge, and begins to scale He prays that his courage will prevail A pestilent cloud, falls from the peak His blood runs cold, and his knees grow weak “I won't pay your toll, I've gone thus far I'll endure the tribulation, and advance through the dark”
